Maanchester United boss Jose Mourinho was sent off at half-time during the Red Devils’

Premier League clash with Burnley.
The Portuguese spent the first period patrolling
the touchline in customary fashion at Old
Trafford.
But at the start of the second period, he
attempted to sit in the front row with United
fans, having been dismissed following half-time
protests.
Mourinho is believed to have been unhappy after
a decision on the stroke of half-time, where
Matteo Darmian was fouled.
A furious Mourinho made no attempt to hide his
displeasure at referee Mark Clattenburg, who
only gave United a free kick, rather than a
penalty.
At the start of the second period, the fourth
official instructed Mourinho that he had to move
far enough away from the pitch that he couldn’t
pass on instructions to the Manchester United
bench.
As such, the Special One joined executive vice-
chairman Ed Woodward in the directors’ box.
However, he was still able to get his messages
to the bench, appearing to use a go-between to
take messages down the stand to assistant Rui
Faria.
